Account security

To help you keep your account secure, below are a few recommendations from nector:

Keep your nector account password secure:

Your password should be unique to the nector account and known only to you. We recommend not to reuse this password for multiple services or websites.

Maintain the confidentiality of your API Keys: API key and API Secret is unique to your account. Anyone who gets to know your API keys and API secret can make an API request for your account. If you think your API Keys is compromised, you can always generate new API Keys from APIs or delete any existing ones.

Restrict access to your Dashboard and API Keys: You can restrict access to your dashboard by creating a list of allowed IP addresses. Any request coming from addresses other than in the list will show an error. These addresses fall under two categories one for API access and the other for DASHBOARD access, you can add or remove the allowed IP address from Allowed IPs.

Environments

We support two environments DEV and PROD. It is recommended to test your application in DEV mode before going live.

To change the environment use the toggle button. When the toggle button is OFF (shows DEV), the dashboard will point to https://devplatform.nector.io/ and when it's ON (shows PROD), the dashboard will point to https://platform.nector.io/

Environment

URL

Development (DEV)

https://devplatform.nector.io/

Production (PROD)

https://platform.nector.io/

Once your account is KYC verified you can start with the setup process. By default, you will be in PROD mode. Click on the toggle button to access the DEV mode.

Use the DEV mode to familiarise yourself with the dashboard, explore how to integrate, and also use it to test the integration before going launching your product.
